13 injured as all 31 Russian missiles aimed at Kyiv downed this morning
Early on 21 March, Russia targeted Kyiv with 31 missiles, Ukraine downed all of those, but the falling debris injured 13 people, according to local authorities.
On the morning of 21 March, Russia launched another major missile attack against Ukraine.
Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down all the missiles used by the Russian army to attack Kyiv, Mykola Oleshchuk, the Air Force Commander, said. He reported the destruction of 31 Russian missiles, including two ballistic and 29 cruise missiles.
“On the night of 21 March 2024, the enemy attacked with two Iskander-M (KN-23)/Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic/aeroballistic missiles and 29 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from 11 Tu-95MS strategic bombers (launch areas: Russian Federation’s Volgodonsk, Engels),” Oleshchuk wrote, adding that those targeted Kyiv, but were all shot down.
The debris of the fallen missiles injured at least 13 people in Kyiv City, with four of those hospitalized, according to the city’s Military Administration.
