Pyatt will travel to Dhahran and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia January 7-10.  In Riyadh, he will speak at the Future Minerals Forum, addressing government representatives and minerals company executives from over 145 countries.  During the Forum, he will meet with Saudi and international officials as well as leaders from industry and multilateral organizations to discuss priorities following COP28, underscoring the need for diverse, resilient, and sustainable critical mineral supply chains for technologies to combat climate change.  In Dhahran, Assistant Secretary Pyatt will visit Saudi Aramco’s Jubail Carbon Capture Hub, one of the largest operational carbon capture facilities in the world, and consult with energy executives on the important private sector role in driving efforts towards the energy transition globally for both emerging and developed economies.
