The United States recognizes the many sacrifices and lives lost due to terrorist violence and offers its heartfelt condolences. Despite the significant challenges Burkina Faso has faced this year in the fight against violent extremism, the resilience and determination of the Burkinabe people shine brightly. The United States of America stands with people of Burkina Faso in their pursuit of and transition to democratic governance and the protection of human rights for all.
