Details: The propagandists also published a video from the scene. It shows a damaged car. The driver's seat suffered the most from the explosion. It also shows several people trying to help the driver.

The Investigative Committee of Russia reported on two people who suffered in the explosion.

Russian Telegram channels reported that the explosion had killed Serhii Yevsiukov, the head of the Olenivka penal colony that was used as a torture chamber. His wife is in a serious condition in hospital – her leg was torn off.

Mash, a Russian Telegram channel, said that an explosive substance, about 100 grams of TNT equivalent, was placed under the bottom of the Toyota Land Cruiser.

In July 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine reported that it had served the former leaders of the Olenivka colony who were involved in the killing of captured Ukrainian defenders with a notice of suspicion.

These were collaborator Serhii Yevsiukov, former head of the so-called Volnovakha colony of the DPR [Donetsk People’s Republic is a non-recognised quasi-state formation in Donetsk Oblast – ed.] in the village of Olenivka, and his former first deputy, collaborator Dmytro Neiolov.

The investigation established that both men were in their "positions" when, on the night of 28-29 July 2022, the Russians launched attacks on the territory of the occupation prison.

"Both defendants were aware of the consequences of the explosions and the number of casualties but deliberately delayed the evacuation of the wounded to medical facilities.

Based on the evidence collected, Security Service investigators served Yevsiukov and Neiolov with a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 438 (cruel treatment of prisoners of war, combined with premeditated murder, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the Security Service of Ukraine said.

The service noted that in November 2022, the Russians "replaced both defendants in their positions" and that they are hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.
