Deputy Secretary Verma Travels to Atlanta, Costa Rica, and Brazil
Office of the Spokesperson Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard R. Verma will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and San Jose, Costa Rica December 11-14. In Atlanta, he will underscore U.S. anti-corruption priorities at the U.S.-hosted tenth session of the Conference of the States Parties (COSP) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). While in Atlanta he will also visit the Carter Center and Atlanta Passport center. In Rio de Janeiro, he will meet with Afro-Brazilian leaders in politics, education, and media and U.S. Consulate staff. Last, in San Jose he will lead the U.S. delegation for the inaugural meeting of the U.S.-Costa Rica High Level Strategic Dialogue on security, migration, and economic cooperation and meet with President Rodrigo Chaves and Foreign Minister Arnoldo Andre.
