Election 2024 live updates: Trump flips battleground state of Arizona
Former President Trump has won the election in key swing states such as Georgia and Pennsylvania, and is projected to win the necessary 270 Electoral College votes, while Republicans have taken back the Senate majority.
Vice President Harris conceded the election Wednesday afternoon at the site that Democrats hoped would host a victory party on Election Day.
Hours after she called Donald Trump to congratulated him on his victory, she spoke to supporters at Howard University, encouraging them to "keep fighting."
