Quote: "Four important solutions are in the process of preparation. The sanctions package that Josep mentioned – we appreciate the ongoing efforts. I would like to emphasise one specific element of this sanctions proposal, namely the measures aimed at suppressing Russia's ability to produce missiles and drones. Some of these measures are already included in the package, and we look forward to their adoption by member states," Kuleba said.
The minister added that a decision is expected on the use of frozen Russian assets for the purpose of rebuilding Ukraine.
The third topic, as the minister pointed out, is the decision to launch a new Ukrainian fund to provide macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
Quote: "But first of all – first and foremost – is, of course, the decision to open negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union. And I can confirm that Josep and I discussed this issue in detail," said Kuleba.
He added that work with the member states on the adoption of this decision is ongoing.
Reminder:
Earlier, Kuleba tweeted that he and Borrell "discussed in detail the proposal to create a pan-European zone of the defence industry, in which EU members, candidates and like-minded countries will join forces in defence production."
