The German government has provided five vehicles to communities in Ukraine’s Kharkiv Oblast, regional officials report.
Kharkiv suffers daily from shellings and bombings, with frequent attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and resulting in significant casualties and destruction.
The cars, provided by Germany, are being donated to the Kupiansk, Pisochyn and Balakliya communities, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said.
The donation came through direct cooperation with Martin Jäger, Germany’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, and the German Federal Foreign Office.
“We are in constant communication with international partners, which is giving obvious results,” regional officials stated.
Officials note this vehicle delivery represents one part of ongoing German support. In November 2024, Germany provided 11 generators and related special equipment for a total of UAH 40 million (over $9 mn)
Germany also provided on 39 January several minibuses to Zaporizhzhia Oblast for utility companies.
