Germany delivers military aid to Ukraine

The German government reported on 10 April about the delivery of a new military aid package to Ukraine.

The package includes 6,000 155mm artillery shells; 16 Vector reconnaissance drones; 30 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance UAVs; 30 anti-drone defense systems; 70 infrared cameras; 680 Haenel MK556 assault rifles; a Warthog tracked command vehicle; 2 WISENT 1 demining machines; 11 mobile demining systems; 3 mine plows; 120 Haenel CR308 sniper rifles; 50 Haenel HLR338 sniper rifles; 1 million rounds of ammunition for small arms; 5,000 detonators.”

The previous aid package for Ukraine, Germany announced on 28 March. It contained tank ammunition, drones, and artillery shells.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced on 16 February the preparation of a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $1,2 billion.

Bundestag approved the 2024 state budget, allocating $8,1 billion for military aid to Ukraine.
