Details: The IDF stated that Qaouk served as the commander of Hezbollah's Preventative Security Unit and was a prominent figure in the terrorist group's central council.
Qaouk was considered close to Hezbollah's leadership and "directly engaged in terrorist attacks against the State of Israel and its citizens, even in recent days," the IDF explained.
Israeli fighter jets struck and killed Qaouk last night in the Beirut suburb of Dahieh, a well-known Hezbollah strong point.
The IDF reported that Israeli fighter jets bombarded dozens of Hezbollah targets in Lebanon overnight.
