Details: When asked what kind of signals from the US would mean for Russia that bilateral relations could be established, Peskov said that so far, "the signals are positive".

The Russian official added that during his election campaign, Trump said he perceived everything through deals and that he could make a deal that would lead to peace. At least Trump talks about peace, not confrontation, and he doesn't express a desire to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, which distinguishes him from the current administration, Peskov said.

At the same time, the Kremlin spokesperson admitted that, unlike the current Joe Biden administration, Trump is less predictable, and it is also probably less predictable how much he will stick to the statements he made during the election campaign.
