Details: The reports say that rumours of large-scale lay-offs at VK started circulating in the industry a few weeks ago. At the end of September, dozens of employees, including entire teams, were fired from the company in one day, according to Meduza's sources.
Several top managers were fired, among others.
The lay-offs included members of the marketing team, VK Clips employees, developers of the Marusia voice assistant and advertising staff.
Up to 20% of the staff may be laid off, which is around 3,000 people in this case. A company representative denied any such plans.
One of the former employees was informed of his dismissal by his manager, who explained that the company was undergoing massive lay-offs. Another employee said that his boss cited "resource optimisation and budget reallocation" as the main reason for the lay-offs.
The new management of the company may also be the reason for the cuts.
Lay-offs are being carried out in secret, and dismissals are being made under the guise of mutual agreement.
