Media report top Iranian advisor approves of Hamas strikes on Israel

Rahim Safavi, an advisor to Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, supposedly congratulated HAMAS militants on their latest attack on Israel, the largest such attack in recent years.

Details: "We congratulate the Palestinian fighters," Safavi reportedly said.

"We will stand beside the Palestinian fighters until Palestine and Jerusalem are free," he added.

Iran has not yet issued an official response to the Israel attack.
