Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D) applauded Susie Wiles as President-elect Trump’s choice for chief of staff on Thursday.
“Congrats to @susie57! I worked with Susie in the DeSantis Administration. She is brilliant, tough, strategic. She will serve the country well,” Moskowitz said in a post on the social platform X.
Wiles has been the Trump campaign’s co-chair for the 2024 election cycle and has spent decades in politics. Those she’s worked for include presidents, mayors and members of the legislative branch including Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) and Trump.
“Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns,” Trump said in a Thursday statement.
“Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected. Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again,” he added. “It is a well deserved honor to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history. I have no doubt that she will make our country proud.”
Early Wednesday morning, Moskowitz posted on X that Wiles “will go down as one of the greatest campaign strategists.”
“To the [Democrats’] detriment she has been a part of all the winning campaigns in Florida,” he added.
Moskowitz once served as the director of Florida’s Division of Emergency Management under DeSantis and was tapped by the Florida governor for the role.
