Quote by Popereshniuk: "At the moment each of our terminals has a bomb shelter, we took care of it. But right now we need to equip mini bomb shelters inside of the terminals so that people can reach them quickly. Because in the city of Kharkiv, for instance, a strike occurs in less than a minute, some 30-40 seconds. They need to manage to hide during this time."
Details: The co-founders added that the terminal in the settlement of Korotychi that was struck with Russian missiles on 21 October is also equipped with a bomb shelter. Yet too little time passed between the moment the air-raid warning was issued and the strike and people did not manage to get into the shelter in time.
Background:
- On 21 October, a Russian missile hit a depot in Kharkiv Oblast belonging to the Nova Poshta delivery company.
- The Russian strike killed six people, all of whom were employees of Nova Poshta.
- Early reports said the attack was carried out with two S-300 missiles launched from the territory of Russia's Belgorod Oblast.
- The workers who were there had no chance or time to run for cover, as the air-raid warning was issued right before the explosion.
- Reports indicate that all the injured were men aged between 19 and 48. Seven civilians, including five in intensive care, are in serious condition.
