Details: The new system will be deployed on the border with Ukraine. Romania will receive the system with NATO's consent under an intergovernmental agreement with one of the partner countries.
The portal's sources said this is one of the most powerful anti-drone systems in Europe.
Background: The Romanian Defence Ministry had previously concluded that the drones that had fallen on Romanian territory by accident were of Russian origin and hit by Ukraine's air defence.
In late September, Romania was reportedly moving its air defence systems closer to its villages on the Danube bordering Ukraine due to incidents involving drone crashes.
