Details: Kiviselg stated that the delivery of new equipment, provided by the West, to the combat zone in Ukraine did not decrease the intensity of Russian attacks.
"Even though more and more of the weapons supplied by the West are gradually being delivered to the combat zone, the quantity of attacks by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation remains the same as in previous weeks. An average quantity of attacks per day is from 130 to 140," he said.
Kiviselg added that Russian forces did not lack personnel so far, and good weather helps them advance, even though these advances are insignificant.
"Regardless of this, the Russian Federation has not carried out a single attack using armoured vehicles. Russian forces were not able to attack with armoured vehicle units but managed to achieve tactical progress in Donetsk Oblast," Kiviselg noted.
He stressed that over the last few months the Russians have been losing 1,000 soldiers per day on average.
The Pentagon and the representatives of US intelligence estimate that at the moment Russia does not have enough personnel to capture much of Ukrainian territory within the next few months.
Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, shares this point of view but warns that Moscow is still capable of advancing slightly in Ukraine.
