Russia loses over 560,000 soldiers since start of its full-scale invasion

Russian forces have lost 1,200 soldiers killed and wounded, as well as 62 artillery systems, 15 armoured combat vehicles and eight tanks over the past 24 hours.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 15 July 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]: 

  • approximately 560,290 (+1,200) military personnel;
  • 8,214 (+8) tanks;
  • 15,826 (+15) armoured combat vehicles;
  • 15,324 (+62) artillery systems;
  • 1,119 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
  • 892 (+2) air defence systems;
  • 361 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
  • 326 (+0) helicopters;
  • 12,148 (+41) strategic and tactical UAVs;
  • 2,398 (+2) cruise missiles;
  • 28 (+0) ships and boats;
  • 1 (+0) submarines;
  • 20,623 (+85) vehicles and tankers;
  • 2,569 (+3) special vehicles and other equipment. 

The General Staff noted that the total figures of Russia’s losses in cruise missiles and UAVs are presented taking into account the update for the previous period, and losses for the previous day are presented as usual.
