Multiple Ukrainian cities came under Russian attack overnight into 8 November, resulting in casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, according to regional officials.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian oblasts with various types of weapons – strike UAVs, missiles, rockets, CABs, and MLRS. Russia’s leadership denies that the Russian army, during a full-scale war, conducts targeted attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

Russian troops also struck Kharkiv, with one of the KABs hitting 12 high-rise buildings in the Saltovsky district, Mayor Igor Terekhov said.

The attack injured 25 people, including one three-month-old baby. Some 30 residents of the house were evacuated, including four children.

The attack partially destroyed three floors of an apartment building and damaged nearby structures, metro station exits, and five vehicles.

In Odesa, one person was killed and nine were injured, the State Emergency Service reports. The attack damaged residential buildings, with fires breaking out in two homes. The attack also affected warehouse facilities, vehicles, and educational institutions.

In Kyiv Oblast, four car drivers were injured by falling debris during a missile attack, Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the regional military administration, said. One man is reportedly in serious condition; two drivers are in moderate condition.

The attack also damaged six private houses and four cars. There was also a fire on grass flooring and a fire in the premises of a defunct gas station.

Ukrainian military shot down all four Kh-59/69 aircraft missiles and 62 of 92 drones, the Armed Forces of Ukraine report. Drones were destroyed within 12 oblasts, and 26 more drones were lost locally, and one in the airspace of Ukraine. The Russian army fired an Iskander-M missile and attacked Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts with guided aerial bombs.
