In New York, Lavrov will participate in UN Security Council meetings on the Middle East and Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Lavrov would visit New York from 22 to 24 January to attend a UN Security Council debate on the Middle East and a meeting on Ukraine. Several bilateral meetings are also scheduled.
