Russian morning shellings of Kherson kill 62-year-old man, injured 66-year-old

Since the morning of 7 January, Russian forces conducted multiple shellings of the city of Kherson, Kherson Oblast Military Administration reported.

At around 10 am, the Russian military shelled the city, injuring a 62-year-old man. Reportedly, the injured man died in the hospital.

At around 11 am, Russian forces fired on the central part of Kherson again, according to the Kherson Oblast Military Administration. Russia shelled one of the markets, injuring a 66-year-old man. Reportedly, he was hospitalized.

On the evening of 6 January, the Russian military attacked one of the settlements in the Beryslav district in Kherson Oblast, the local military administration reported. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. Reportedly, there were no casualties.

Over the past day, Russian troops conducted 89 attacks, launching 382 shells at Kherson Oblast, hitting residential areas and critical infrastructure facilities, local governor Oleksandr Prokudin said.

The Russian military fired 24 shells at the city of Kherson, hitting the territory of factories, according to Prokudin. Reportedly, five people were injured, including two children.
