Russian Shahed drones damage agricultural enterprises in Odesa Oblast as Ukraine downs 14/16 UAVs

On the night of 17 March, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 16 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze UAVs launched from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea.

Ukrainian air defense destroyed 14 drones over Odesa Oblast, as reported by Ukraine’s Air Force.

The remaining two drones attacked Odesa Oblast, damaging agricultural enterprises, Oleh Kiper, head of Odesa Oblast Military Administration, reported.

“The drones flew in from the Black Sea and maneuvered between residential buildings and industrial neighborhoods in Odesa,” Kiper wrote on Telegram.

According to Kiper, the two enterprises attacked were mothballed, and there were no casualties.

Additionally, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian troops fired five S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles on Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts and two X-59 guided missiles on Chernihiv oblast.
