On the morning of 6 January, Russian troops attacked the Tiahynka community in the Kherson Oblast, causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure, Kherson Oblast Military Administration reported via Telegram.
According to the administration, the shelling resulted in the destruction of the village council building, modular homes housing internally displaced persons, a warehouse storing humanitarian aid, and several vehicles.
In the last 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 112 attacks on Ukraine’s Kherson Oblast, launching a total of 671 projectiles employing mortars, artillery, Grad rocket systems, tanks, drones, and aircraft, head of Kherson Oblast Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin reported. Of these attacks, one included a missile strike.
Additionally, Russian troops fired 39 projectiles on the city of Kherson. Targets included residential neighborhoods in various settlements across the region and an enterprise in the Kherson district.
These Russian attacks have resulted in one civilian fatality and injuries to five others, Prokudin said.
