Details: The tournament will start on 24 October in Budapest (Hungary). Russians and Belarusians were included in the list of participants only four days before the start of the tournament.
22 athletes in 15 categories will represent Ukraine.
Background:
- The World Karate Federation suspended karate players from Russia and Belarus in response to a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
- In March, the International Olympic Committee recommended allowing Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete with a neutral status.
