Russians burn faces of killed North Koreans so that they cannot be identified – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine has confirmation that Russia is disguising North Korean military personnel as Russian citizens and burning the faces of dead soldiers to prevent identification.

Details: Zelenskyy said that according to Ukrainian intelligence, North Korea has deployed more than 12,000 soldiers to Russia. They have already suffered losses. No cases of surrender of North Korean soldiers have been recorded so far.

As for prisoners, there have been none so far. But we have videos and photos of dead North Korean soldiers. Almost all of them are found with Russian passports. To prevent them from being recognised, we also have a video showing the Russians burning their faces. Our services can share it [the video]. I saw it myself.

They did the same thing with their own military: they burned them completely and left those who were not burned to rot on the ground. And [with North Koreans] they’re burning their faces."
