Details: The nearly 19-minute video was provided to Radio Liberty by soldiers of one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units fighting on the Zaporizhzhia front. It was filmed by a drone near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Journalists verified that the filming location was in one of the village's fields.

The video shows that periodically, the Russian military shoots from machine guns in the direction of Ukrainian positions. One of the Russian soldiers is physically hiding behind a Ukrainian serviceman.

According to the Ukrainian defenders who provided this video, this is so-called combat reconnaissance to identify firepower at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Later, a battle broke out - a grenade allegedly exploded near a group of Russian soldiers and unarmed prisoners.

Then, the Russians decided to retreat. The prisoners of war began to run in the opposite direction from the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, with the Russians following them. Then a Russian shot several times in the direction of one of the unarmed people. Subsequently, it is seen that the body of a soldier in the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is already lying on the ground.

Currently, the Ukrainian military has no information about the fate of these Ukrainian prisoners.

As Defence Intelligence states, the forces of the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces are fighting on this front.

Dmytro Lubinets, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, stressed in a comment to Radio Liberty that it is prohibited to use prisoners of war to participate in military operations. After being granted official status, prisoners should be held in a specially created camp away from military operations and wait for an exchange.

Quote from Dmytro Lubinets: "If this is the case (the events in the video took place — ed.), then it will be an official fact of violation of another Geneva Convention by the Russian Federation. This is the first video of its kind I've seen. I didn't have any such data."
