The Secretary and the Prime Minister underscored their commitment to deepening the U.S.-Greece bilateral relationship, as well as U.S. support for Greece’s defense modernization efforts, in line with NATO interoperability requirements. The Secretary discussed the ongoing situation in the Middle East and affirmed the importance of addressing humanitarian suffering in Gaza. The Secretary reiterated Israel’s right to self-defense consistent with international law.
