A tree fell on the vehicle of a Fox Weather reporting crew while covering the impact of Hurricane Milton in Florida on Wednesday night.
FOX Weather Correspondent Robert Ray shared with the viewers that a pine tree fell on the crew’s car right after he finished his live report.
“We just had all this entire tree stop and fall right on our vehicles,” Ray said. “I had just gotten done with a live report where I was showing the Manatee River, which is right beyond this tree, and walked into my vehicle, looked at my phone, and then all of a sudden, boom, the whole tree just comes down and partially goes into the vehicle where [cameraman] Lloyd is.”
He said the crew did not capture the exact moment when the tree fell.
Ray recalled a “bit of a chaotic” moment after the incident. He said that the crew would have to move out of the area because he feared the other part of the tree would collapse too.
“As you see all of this pine tree collapsed,” Ray said.
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was hit by a flying object on Wednesday during a live shot. He was also reporting from Bradenton as Milton brought 120 mph wind gusts and heavy rainfall.
