Trump chooses fintech CEO to lead Social Security Administration

President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday that he has picked Frank Bisignano, the CEO of fintech and payments company Fiserv, to run the Social Security Administration. Bisignano previously was chief operating officer at JPMorgan Chase and held a number of executive positions at Citigroup. “Frank is a business leader, with a tremendous track record of transforming large corporations,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “He will be responsible to deliver on the Agency’s commitment to the American People for generations to come!” During the campaign, Trump pledged to eliminate taxes on Social Security benefits. Bisignano is a GOP donor who backed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio in 2016 but donated to Trump’s campaign in 2019.
