President-elect Trump knocked his ex-White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci as a “major loser," in reaction to his constant criticism.
Trump's rebuke of Scaramucci came just days after he tangled with CNBC host Joe Kernen during an interview on the network last week over his attacks on his former boss.
“You have had an utter disdain for Trump. You’ll always be welcome at the table of legacy media and have people nodding as you trash Trump," Kernen told Scaramucci Friday. "That’s always going to happen."
He added a question, “But aren’t you the slightest bit embarrassed, or at least humbled, about how wrong you were about the feeling of most Americans?"
The former Trump official, who served in the administration for only 11 days before being fired and predicted that Vice President Harris would win the White House, fired back at Kernen, saying he congratulated the former president on his election triumph.
“What would you like me to do? Do you want me to get on bended knee before you?” Scaramucci told the CNBC host. “We have a violent disagreement about lots of things related to Trump’s personality."
"You like Trump — I was close to Trump, I got to see the ugliness of what he is. And by the way, Joe, it’s not just me," he added.
Kernen noted that Trump has been “very good for your career” and that Scaramucci will be able to “live off this for another four years.”
“Why don’t you calm down a second, Joe,” Scaramucci fired back. “We know each other a long time. Are you saying that you and I can’t disagree on somebody’s personality? Is that what you’re saying?”
Trump reacted to the exchange Monday on Truth Social, slamming Scaramucci, who has become a vocal critic of the president-elect in recent years, while praising Kerner for doing a “great job.”
“Anthony Scaramucci is a major loser who was fired from the Administration after only 11 days for his insane “brother from another mother” interview with Chris Cuomo, then with CNN,” Trump wrote in his post. “GREAT JOB BY JOE K.”
Scaramucci, who is just one of many aides who supported Harris, said Trump’s victory in the contest last week was a “sad day for a lotta people.”
“I just think it’s a — it’s a sad day for a lotta people, you know, they talk about non-white immigrants [in the] United States in a very us versus them, dehumanizing sort of a way,” Scaramucci said in an interview on CNN.
“And so hopefully, when he takes that mantle of leadership again, I hope that he takes [a] pause and thinks about that, that the country needs to unite and there needs to be a healing process in the country,” he added.
