Trump-Vance ticket has done combined 103 interviews since August compared to 80 for Harris-Walz
The Donald Trump-JD Vance ticket has sat down for dozens more interviews than their opponents since the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket formed last month.
Former President Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, have sat down for at least 103 interviews since the Harris-Walz ticket was formed in early August, compared to at least 80 un-scripted interviews for the Democratic presidential ticket thus far.
Vice President Kamala Harris did a run of interviews with local news stations on Oct. 29 in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Detroit, as well as a Spanish-language interview in Pennsylvania, ahead of her address in Washington, D.C., and she spoke with ABC News on Wednesday, where she addressed remarks by President Biden disparaging Trump supporters. Over the weekend, in addition to appearing on "Saturday Night Live," she was interviewed by CNN.
Running mate Tim Walz appeared on "Good Morning America" and "CBS Mornings" and was also asked about the comments, and taped an interview with supporter Stephen Colbert on Thursday that will air the day before election day, in addition to several more local news interviews down the stretch.
Harris spoke with Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier last month in Pennsylvania, marking her first interview on the network, and she also spoke briefly with NBC's Peter Alexander. Last Sunday, she spoke with a Philadelphia news station during a campaign stop in the city, and she also spoke with NBC's Yamiche Alcindor this week.
An interview with CBS' Norah O'Donnell aired on Sunday, Oct. 27, and she also spoke with NFL Hall-of-Famer Shannon Sharpe for his "Club Shay Shay"podcast that published on Monday, as well as the podcast "Unlocking Us" with Brené Brown. On Oct. 29, she was also interviewed on Charlamagne Tha God's radio show.
She also sat down last month with supporter Al Sharpton on MSNBC, and was interviewed by supporter Sarah Longwell of The Bulwark alongside Liz Cheney. She's also been interviewed in October by NBC and Telemundo.
In addition to another appearance in October on Charlamagne Tha God's show, Harris has also done recent interviews with such outlets as CBS on "60 Minutes," liberal magazine Vogue, progressive journalist Roland Martin, and popular podcasts like "Call Her Daddy," "All The Smoke" and "The Shade Room." She also appeared Oct. 8 on "The View," where she made headlines for not saying what she would have done differently from President Biden, as well as the shows of outspoken supporters Stephen Colbert and Howard Stern.

Harris has largely stuck to friendly environments, also speaking with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle last month, in addition to local news interviews in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
As Hurricane Milton closed in on Florida, she also did phone interviews with The Weather Channel and CNN. Since the beginning of September she's spoken with Wired, the National Association of Black Journalists, Uforia, the audio network of TelevisaUnivision, and radio hosts Rickey Smiley and "Ms. Jessica."
Meanwhile, Walz did interviews with "The Daily Show" and "The View" on Monday, Oct. 21, as part of an increased media presence himself. He did "Fox News Sunday" for the second straight week on Sunday, Oct. 13, and he also did interviews last month with Jimmy Kimmel and the "Smartless" podcast. He added several Pennsylvania local news interviews this week, in addition to an extended interview on ABC News . He also did interviews with Rich Eisen and the "We Can Do Hard Things" podcast.
Walz, who was interviewed by a Michigan station on Friday, has spoken with Georgia, Wisconsin and North Carolina TV stations in recent weeks, including two Wisconsin stations on Oct. 28 and also this week with Dan Le Batard. He spoke with MSNBC and ABC after September's presidential debate, and he was interviewed by Michigan station Fox 17.
Walz has also spoken to radio stations in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and he was interviewed by left-wing magazine Rolling Stone for a feature that published on Saturday.
Trump was interviewed by podcast giant Joe Rogan last month and also Fox News' Sean Hannity at Mar-a-Lago; he sat down with "Fox & Friends Weekend" over the weekend and also did a phone interview with ABC's Jonathan Karl. Vance was also interviewed by Rogan on Oct. 30 in Texas and Breitbart's Matthew Boyle on Oct. 31; Rogan has expressed interest in interviewing Harris but it appears the conversation won't happen, at least before Election Day.
Trump has kept up a drumbeat of media appearances, many of them with supporters. He did interviews with Bloomberg Editor-in-chief John Micklethwait at the Chicago Economic Club, as well as one with Barstool Sports podcast "Bussin with the Boys" and Patrick Bet-David's podcast. He was interviewed earlier in October by Fox News "MediaBuzz" host Howard Kurtz, and also by Saudi state-owned network Al-Arabiya and radio host Hugh Hewitt.
He spoke with Fox News' Maria Bartiromo on Oct. 13 and also recently taped an interview with the "Full Send" podcast. He also appeared on multiple episodes of "Fox & Friends" and in a recent edition of OutKick's "Maintaining with Tyrus," as well as interviews in October with the Wall Street Journal, Dan Bongino and Tom Klingenstein, and this week with Fox's Brian Kilmeade.
Trump was also interviewed by OutKick's Clay Travis while attending the Georgia-Alabama football game, and he's been interviewed by such Fox News figures and shows as Bill Melugin, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Greg Gutfeld, as well as the Washington Post's Marc Thiessen, Glenn Beck, Ben Shapiro, Sharyl Attkisson, the "Ruthless" podcast, the "Flagrant" podcast, the Daily Mail, NBC News, the New York Post, Lex Fridman, and X owner and Trump backer Elon Musk.
To mark the anniversary of the Oct. 7 terrorist attack, he was interviewed by Hugh Hewitt and Sid Rosenberg.
Vance made the Sunday show rounds on Oct. 27, doing interviews with CNN, CBS and NBC, in addition to a new appearance on comedian Tim Dillon's program. On CNN, he sparred aggressively with host Jake Tapper about the media's Russiagate coverage.
Vance, who appeared Oct. 17 on "Fox & Friends" and Oct. 21 on "America's Newsroom," has done dozens of interviews since the Harris-Walz ticket formed on Aug. 6, including multiple Sunday show appearances, podcasts, and interviews with CNN, Fox News and ABC in the aftermath of the ABC News Presidential Debate between Trump and Harris. A previous interview with the New York Times was published on Oct. 11, and he appeared on ABC's "This Week" and "Fox News Sunday" on Oct. 13.
Vance also spoke with Time magazine for a lengthy cover profile, and he also recorded an interview podcaster Theo Von that aired on Oct. 22.
Trump has held six extended news conferences since August, while Harris still has not held a formal press conference since replacing President Biden as the Democratic nominee.
