Details: Trump Jr. reposted a video with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump on Instagram on Saturday with the caption: "POV (point of view – ed.): You're 38 days from losing your allowance".
The video shows Zelenskyy looking sad next to Trump, with the camera focusing on Zelenskyy's face, after which the video fades to black and white and dollar bills falling in front of the Ukrainian president.
The video was originally posted by Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate.
Electors in different states are to meet on 17 December to approve the votes for the president.
Background:
- Politico reports that the administration of US President Joe Biden plans to use all remaining funds allocated for military assistance to Ukraine by the day of Donald Trump's inauguration on 20 January 2025.
- Politico's sources, however, point out that it "usually takes months" to send US-allocated weapons to Ukraine, so the packages announced in the coming weeks are unlikely to arrive in full by the end of January 2025, while Trump could suspend the shipment of weapons.
