Two defence lines being built in Chernihiv Oblast – Defence Forces Commander, video

Ukrainian defenders are equipping the frontiers and positions of the first and second defence lines in the most exposed areas of Chernihiv Oblast.

Quote from Naiev: "The situation in Chernihiv Oblast, as well as in the entire Northern Operations Area, is currently stable and under control. However, in the most dangerous areas, the first and second lines of defence are being equipped at full speed.

We are preparing for resistance and, together with Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration, are taking measures to strengthen our defences.

If the threat grows, additional forces will arrive at the prepared lines, and we will be ready to respond appropriately to any developments in the situation."

Details: Naiev showed a video with an excavator digging a trench and people using machinery to install anti-tank concrete structures known as "dragon's teeth".

The work is being carried out by a civilian organisation under the supervision of military engineers, Naiev said.
