Two French children killed in Gaza Strip

Two children with French citizenship have died as a result of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

Quote: "France is saddened to learn of the death of two children with French citizenship who were in the northern Gaza Strip with their French mother, who was injured, as was the third child," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France said.

French diplomats from the Consulate General in Jerusalem are trying to establish contact with the woman and help her as much as possible.  

Quote: "We demand once again that people from other countries, including our citizens, be able to leave Gaza... France emphasises the call for a humanitarian truce in order to deliver humanitarian aid to those who need it," the report added. 

Reminder:

• The UK Foreign Secretary also called for the possibility of foreigners to leave the Gaza Strip and a humanitarian pause.
• As of 26 October, France confirmed the death of 35 of its citizens as a result of an attack by Hamas militants on Israel. 
• The death of a girl with German citizenship, who was captured by Hamas militants on 7 October, was also confirmed.
