The accident occurred on 13 December at around 23:00 on the Voronezh-Luhansk motorway when a URAL truck carrying Russian soldiers collided head-on with a bus loaded with other Russian troops.
The bus was carrying soldiers who had been wounded in the war with Ukraine.
The accident resulted in the deaths of both drivers, one wounded soldier from the bus and two servicemen from the URAL truck.
A further 46 Russian servicemen were injured.
Information about the accident also surfaced on local Telegram channels, though officials have not commented.
