Ukraine destroys 10 out of 10 Russian drones overnight
Ukraine air defenses shot down Russian drones over Mykolaiv & Odesa oblasts. In Odesa, a Russian attack hit a critical infrastructure facility, damaging a power grid.
The Russian military launched overnight on 28 February against Ukraine S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied Donetsk Oblast and 10 Shahed strike UAVs from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region of Russia, Ukraine’s Air Forces reported.
Russia uses occupied territories in Ukraine as its military base and as a launch point for attacks on Ukraine and further aggression.
Ukraine’s Air Defenses shot down 10 Russian Shahed drones over Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts.
According to local Governor Vitaliy Kim, Ukraine’s Air Forces destroyed Russian Shahed-131/136 drones over the Black Sea in Mykolaiv Oblast.
In Odesa, the falling wreckage of one of the downed drones caused a short circuit in the power grid of a critical infrastructure facility, the Southern Defense Forces reported.
The fire was extinguished. There were reportedly no casualties.
