Russian night attack killed a man in Lviv Oblast, targeting the same energy infrastructure it had targeted in the attacks on the 24 & 29 March, Governor Maksym Kozytskyi said. There may still be people under the rubble.

Ukraine destroys 9 out of 16 Russian missiles, 9 out of 11 drones overnight

Ukraine’s Air Defenses shot down nine Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and nine Shahed-136/131 drones Russia launched on the night of March 31.

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 14 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from the Saratov Oblast, 11 Shahed drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russian-occupied Crimea, an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Crimea, and a Kh-59 guided missile from the occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Crimea and other Ukrainian territories occupied by Russian forces have become Russian military bases and are used for further aggression.

According to Ukraine’s military, the Russian-guided missiles were maneuvering and aimed to target mostly energy infrastructure.

In Khmelnytskyi Oblast, one Russian Shahed drone was destroyed.

Local citizens of Stryi district in Lviv Oblast heard about five explosions.

The Lviv Oblast Governor, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that the Russian military hit the same energy infrastructure in the Stryi district that it had targeted in its attacks on the 24th and 29th of March. The Russian missile attack killed one man and damaged an administrative building. Reportedly, there may still be people under the rubble.

Russian occupying forces attacked Odesa overnight with eight drones, Ukraine’s Southern Defense Forces reported.  The wreckage of the downed drones caused a fire at a power plant, several settlements reportedly were left without electricity.

The Polish Operational Command reported activating its F-16s during the Russian missile attack on Ukraine overnight.

Over the past day, the Russian military attacked 14 settlements in Kherson Oblast and Kherson, injuring two people, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said. The attacks also damaged residential and educational buildings, enterprises, and warehouses.

Russian forces also attacked Kharkiv, injuring a 35-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said. In Kharkiv’s Izium district, a Russian attack killed a 19-year-old man and injured a 27-year-old man.

According to Donetsk Oblast Governor Vadym Filashkin, Russian attacks on the oblast killed two people and injured five others.

Russian troops also attacked Dnipropetrovsk’s Nikopol, Sumy and Mykolaiv oblasts over the past day. There were no casualties reported.
