Ukraine launches “Made in Ukraine” economic platform to bolster business-government dialogue
President Zelenskyy highlighted the importance of domestically produced goods, services, and exports to provide Ukraine with "all the necessary resources for its victory."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the launch of the “Made in Ukraine” economic platform, which aims to facilitate permanent dialogue between the state and businesses.
Zelenskyy announced the launch of a new economic platform on 26 February at a forum in Kyiv attended by approximately 400 guests, including business representatives, regional officials, diplomats, and foreign visitors.
“I am glad to announce today the start of our new economic platform, and therefore, a new economic policy – the Made in Ukraine policy,” Zelenskyy stated
The President expressed gratitude to entrepreneurs and businesses operating in Ukraine for their contributions to the economy and their role in supporting the nation’s defense efforts.
“We must win, and this is a matter of survival. To ensure Ukraine has all the necessary resources for its victory, Ukrainian goods, Ukrainian services, Ukrainian consumption, and Ukrainian exports, that is, Ukrainian entrepreneurs, must also win.” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The platform aims to foster continuous, direct dialogue between the state and entrepreneurs, focusing on transparent operations and tax compliance. Zelenskyy highlighted the importance of a modern moral contract between society, business, and the state, where business success is aligned with societal progress and national strength.
In addition to the platform, Zelenskyy discussed ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline government institutions to support economic efficiency. He called for legislative reforms to ensure business confidence and reduce state pressure on businesses. The President also mentioned ongoing work with partners on investment insurance against war risks and the expansion of Ukrainian export opportunities.
US Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery, Penny Pritzker, praised the “Made in Ukraine” brand for symbolizing the Ukrainian people’s bravery, resilience, and creativity. She highlighted the US administration’s commitment to supporting the Ukrainian private sector, including a $230 million allocation for job preservation and economic stimulation.
The “Made in Ukraine” platform represents a comprehensive approach to fostering economic growth and strengthening the collaboration between the government and the business community in Ukraine.
