Ukraine receives US$400 million from UK

Details: The ministry noted that the funds are part of the fifth additional financing of the project Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance in Ukraine (PEACE in Ukraine).
The funds will be used to partially reimburse the State Budget expenditures made to cover pensions and wages of medical workers under the medical guarantees’ programme.
The loan is provided on preferential terms where the repayment period is 19 years with a 5-year grace period.
The total amount of financial assistance from the United Kingdom since February 2022 has reached US$2 billion.
Background: The European Union transferred a new tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine worth €1.5 billion.
