Details: Soldiers from the brigade retrieved video evidence from the phone of a Russian serviceman. The footage shows Oleg Igorovich Rudakov, who went by the alias Rudik, issuing criminal orders over the radio. The video documents one of the days when Russian forces entered the village of Nevske. It captures the Russians admitting that their command falsely declared the occupation of Nevske before it actually occurred.

Rudakov attempted to contact a soldier who went by the alias Yurist (Lawyer), stationed closer to the front line. The subordinate was ordered to shoot at local vehicles, kill civilians and subject them to torture.

In addition to the video, the brigade intercepted radio communications from Rudakov's group during their entry into Nevske. One recording included an order for "security operations" in the village, euphemistically referred to as a "clean-up" of civilians, which implied killing them.

The investigation reveals that Rudakov had a prior criminal record. The brigade contacted his father, who stated that his son had been out of contact for three months since being redeployed to Ukraine.

The 3rd Assault Brigade also obtained intercepted communications revealing inhumane treatment of Russian soldiers within their own ranks.

The brigade emphasised that the published investigation could serve as evidence in international courts, providing a basis to prosecute war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine.
