Background: On 5 September 2023 the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) dismissed Oleksii Reznikov from the position of minister of defence and replaced him with Rustem Umierov, the former head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, on 6 September.
In January it was revealed that Reznikov had renewed his right to practise law.
