Ukrainian defenders have partial success south of Robotyne – General Staff report

Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive on the Melitopol front and have had partial success south of Robotyne.

Details: In total, the Russians launched 4 missile strikes and 68 airstrikes, and fired 49 times from multiple-launch rocket systems at Ukrainian positions and populated areas. Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in casualties among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged. In addition, the Russian occupiers conducted another airstrike on Ukraine on the night of 23-24 October, using six Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Air defence destroyed all the attack UAVs.

Airstrikes were carried out on Synkivka and Petropavlivka (Kharkiv Oblast); Serebrianka Forest (Luhansk Oblast); Klishchiivka, New-York, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Oleksandropil, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine and Staromaiorske (Donetsk Oblast); Novodarivka, Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka and Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia Oblast); Zmiivka, Olhivka, Lvove, Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Sadove and Prydniprovske (Kherson Oblast).

About 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts came under Russian artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) Operational Strategic Group on the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian forces are maintaining their military presence in the border areas, undertaking sabotage activities to prevent Ukrainian troops from being deployed to vulnerable areas, and is increasing the density of minefields along the state border in Belgorod Oblast of Russia. 

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group on the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled about five Russian attacks near the settlement of Ivanivka (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian Defence Forces are holding their ground and have repelled just about all Russian attacks near the settlement of Nadiia (Luhansk Oblast).

On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian troops repelled all Russian attacks near the settlements of Bohdanivka, Khromove, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast). Ukrainian Defence Forces pursued their assault operations south of the city of Bakhmut (Donetsk Oblast), inflicting losses in military personnel and equipment on the Russian occupying forces and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavriia Operational Strategic Group on the Avdiivka front, the Russians have kept trying to encircle the city of Avdiivka and have actively used their aircraft, whereas Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly held the defence, inflicting heavy losses on them. The Russian offensive near the settlements of Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka and Tonenke (Donetsk Oblast) was a failure, as the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled over 10 attacks.

On the Marinka front, the Russians launched unsuccessful assault operations around the populated areas of Marinka and Pobieda (Donetsk Oblast), with Ukrainian troops repelling 15 Russian attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Ukrainian defenders repelled all Russian attacks near Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast) and south-east of Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

On the Melitopol front, Ukrainian Defence Forces are pursuing an offensive operation, have partial success south of Robotyne and are inflicting losses in military personnel and equipment on the Russian occupying forces and exhausting the Russians along the entire line of contact.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational Strategic Group on the Kherson front, Ukrainian Defence Forces are leading their counter-battery operations, striking the Russian rear.

Ukraine's Air Force launched seven attacks on clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment and three attacks on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems over the past 24 hours.

Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery destroyed eight Russian artillery pieces, four clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment, an electronic warfare station and a pontoon and bridge crossing. In addition, remote mining was carried out in two districts.
