Quote: "The Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently in control of most of the town. We can now talk about 70% control over the city. Street battles continue".

On 30 May, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that the Russians continue to build up their forces in the main strike areas of Strilecha-Lyptsi and Vovchansk by deploying additional regiments and brigades from other regions and training grounds.
However, Syrskyi noted that these forces are currently insufficient for a full-scale offensive or a breakthrough of Ukrainian defences on the Kharkiv front.
