Ukrainian government allocates additional US$21 million to buy drones, munitions and thermal imagers

The government of Ukraine has endorsed the allocation of 792 million hryvnias (approximately US$21 million) from the state budget reserve fund to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities.

Details: "These additional funds will be allocated to military units for very urgent needs. For the purchase of ammunition, thermal imagers, [and] drones," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.

He explained that each army brigade will receive additional funding in proportion to the personal income tax paid in December. 

"We are strengthening our army to be able to fight the enemy as best as we can, to liberate and defend our land, and to secure our victory as soon as possible," Shmyhal said.
