Details: "Today, the staff of the Taras Shevchenko National Theatre of Dnipro is in deep sorrow. Great grief has united us all – the drama artist of our theatre, Andrii Kasianov, was killed in battle with the enemy," the theatre wrote.
The deceased is remembered as "a talented artist, a sincere and kind person, and a brave defender of our state".
"The announcement of Andrii's death shocked our entire theatre family. We remember and will remember him as the most worthy person... Sincere gratitude, boundless respect and eternal memory to you, Andrii! We remember you as a man of strong and unconquerable spirit. You gave your life for the sake of our peaceful future in a free and independent Ukraine!" the theatre added.
Film director and writer Iryna Tsilyk also responded to the news. "An actor from Dnipro, Andrii Kasianov, was killed in a battle with the enemy. It's so painful. He should have had a whole life ahead of him... Rest in Peace," she wrote.
Andrii Kasyanov was born on 30 January 1997.
One of the actor's last theatrical works was the role of Georgian artist Niko Pirosmani in the play A Million Red Roses.
