The Ukrainian military has neutralized over 450 Russian occupiers and destroyed over 100 pieces of the enemy’s military equipment, said Volodymyr Fitio, the Public Relations Chief of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the national marathon.

“Our positions were shelled 15 times by kamikaze drones, and artillery fire was opened in this front 428 times. Nevertheless, our defenders managed to eliminate 244 occupants and destroy 51 pieces of equipment, including five tanks and seven BMP-2s,” said Fitio.

He noted that Russians were actively using military equipment while planning their offensive actions because they could not achieve success solely with infantry.

“Overall, their equipment doesn’t help them much. It burns, splendidly, beautifully, our FPV drones, artillery, anti-tank means are there,” he said.

Despite the losses, the Russian military learns quickly on the battlefield, Fitio added.

On 22 December, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times on the Kupiansk front. Ukrainian soldiers repelled the attacks near Synkivka and conducted an aerial strike with fire support helicopters.

According to Fitio, the front line has not undergone significant changes, and there are no specific successes for Russian troops.
