In 2023, Ukrainians contributed 720 million USD through Monobank, a threefold increase compared to the 220 million USD recorded in 2022, as reported by Monobank’s statistics shared on their X (Twitter) page.

The statistics further reveal that the number of donations in 2023 soared to 5.4 million donors, up from 3 million in 2022. Additionally, the average donation increased from 258 UAH in 2022 to 349 UAH in 2023.

However, other data is showcasing that donations for the military in Ukraine are decreasing compared to the first year of Russia’s full-scale invasion. According to the survey, last summer, over 80% of Ukrainian IT specialists regularly donated an average of 10% of their income. This year, the average donation has dropped from $270 to $190 per month.

Recalling recent achievements, in December alone, the funds raised through the state’s United24 fundraising program surpassed the milestone of 500 million dollars. From January to September, Ukraine’s top three fundraising platforms gathered a total of 330 million USD in donations, with United24 leading the way in this impactful endeavor.

Ukraine placed second in the 2022 World Giving Index published by the Charities Aid Foundation, climbing 13 spots to rank as the survey’s highest riser.
