US Representative for Ukraine believes that Russia is also a threat to US, response is needed now

Penny Prtizker, US Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery, has stated that Russia's aggressive war threatens not only Ukraine but also the United States and Europe, as well as economic security and the ideas of freedom and democracy that hold the world together.

Details: According to Prtizker, Putin's war is aimed at restoring a dictatorial, corrupt empire in the heart of Europe, which seeks to undermine both NATO and the European Union.

Pritzker also stated that, with the assistance of America and more than 50 allies and partners around the world, the brave warriors of Ukraine have withstood the Russian Federation's onslaught, reclaimed more than half of the territory seized by Russia, and significantly weakened Moscow's military potential.

According to the special representative, the support from the United States "armed Ukrainians to defend their land and protect Europe while simultaneously modernising our defence industrial base at home, making us more ready for whatever comes next".

The official is convinced that American economic support has been as important as security assistance.

According to Pritzker, "economic resilience is a core tenet of Ukraine’s war effort. Ukraine’s security and economy form a double helix — indelibly intertwined in the country’s effort to beat Putin."

At the same time, the special representative pointed out that the US security and economic package constitutes the "core of our support for Ukraine": "If we act now, this package will send a message to friends and foes alike about American leadership, power and resolve when it comes to Ukraine winning this war and its future as a free, independent, democratic, economically prosperous country integrated into the Euro-Atlantic community".
