The US Department of the Treasury reported the United States has imposed new sanctions on 275 individuals and entities involved in providing Russia with advanced technologies and equipment.

The US has imposed numerous rounds of sanctions on Russia and Russian entities since the start of the Ukraine conflict in 2022, targeting a wide range of Russian individuals, companies, banks, and the energy sector. These sanctions are aimed at constraining Russia’s ability to fund and sustain its military operations in Ukraine.

The sanctions target companies and individuals from 17 countries, including Russia, India, China, the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Thailand, Malaysia, and Switzerland.

The US State Department also tracks sanctions evasion in third countries, including several Chinese companies exporting dual-use goods.

“The United States and our allies will continue to take decisive action around the world to stop the flow of critical tools and technologies Russia needs to wage its illegal and immoral war against Ukraine,” said Deputy US Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo.

The US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that the United States will impose new, tough sanctions aimed at constraining Russia’s military efforts in Ukraine, including ‘third-country intermediaries’ supplying Russia with critical resources for its military.
