President Biden is set to give remarks Friday honoring American veterans and their families a day before the 83rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Biden is attending a special live performance of PBS's "The Eyes of the World: From D-Day to VE Day" at the White House. The program was created and narrated by historian John Monsky and tells a dramatic story of the final 11 months of World War II, according to its website.
In his final Veterans Day speech as president last month, Biden called on Americans to "come together" and to keep honoring the nation's veterans.
"The world is depending on each of you and all of us — all of you — to keep honoring the women and the men and the families who have borne the battle. To keep protecting everything they fought for," he said at the time.
His Friday speech is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. EST.
